Kickboxing Adult Fitness Class
Monday, October 20th 2014  5:00pm-6:00pm
City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks - Come join us for an adult kickboxing fitness class and get a cardiovascular workout consisting of jabs, hooks, uppercuts and kicks designed to get you on your way to a leaner body and a healthier state of mind. Community Advisory Panel

Join your neighbors for the monthly Community Advisory Panel (CAP) meeting on the Baldwin Hills/ Inglewood Oil Field to get updates and voice your concerns about the oil field. The CAP meets the 4th Thursday of every month at 7pm.

Have you ever wondered how to cook healthy meals on a budget? Look no further! Join us every other Wednesday morning for a cooking class to boost your health and keep you under budget. Food Policy Round Table Coalition
4th Thursday of every month. 10am-12pm
The Food Policy Roundtable is a coalition organized to improve food quality in existing retail food venues such as grocery and convenience stores. The Roundtable promotes the Standards of Quality developed by CHC to hold food retailers accountable in the sale and promotion of food. Working with Neighborhood Food Watch campaign members, the Food Policy Roundtable completes Store Quality Checklists; analyzes survey results; makes policy and practice recommendations developed from survey findings; and collaborates with the Environmental Health Division of the LA County Department of Public Health in regulation enforcement.
Coalition for an Active South LA
3rd Tuesday of every month. 10a - 12pm
The Coalition for an Active South LA works to overcome obstacles to physical activity by transforming the natural and built environment to encourage a safe, well-rounded, healthy lifestyle and to integrate health and environmental policy into land-use management, community planning, and urban design. LA KIDS Healthy Cooking Classes

City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks. Join LA KIDS free Healthy Cooking classes for kids and learn how to cook healthy meals. Cooking class for children ages 5-17. LA Access to Health Coverage Coalition
4th Tuesday of odd-numbered months. 9am-Noon
LA Access works to increase enrollment in public and private health coverage programs and advocate for the expansion of health coverage options for under-served, uninsured residents in Los Angeles County.
Covering Kids & Families California
2nd Tuesday of odd months. 9am-10:30am
The Covering Kids & Families California works to reduce the number of uninsured children and adults eligible for public healthcare coverage but not enrolled. The Statewide Coalition meetings are used to review policy and build greater coordination between the public and private sectors. Please RSVP.January 2014 only: meeting is the 3rd Tuesday.
